Meet Our Team

blue nest user square
Elizabeth “Liz” has been in early childhood education since 2013. Liz has a Childhood Development Associate Credential and is currently working on her bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership. Liz started out as a floater and served in multiple teacher and administrative positions before joining The Nest Schools as a director. After having two children of her own, Liz became involved in the early childhood education field as she wanted to learn more about what they “did all day” and why! Liz is passionate about making a difference in the lives of both children and their families and is also an advocate for Trauma Informed Care in the early childhood setting.

In her free time, Liz stays very active with her two twin boys and enjoys spending time with her many siblings. She is also a football fanatic and a cheerleading coach! Liz’s favorite childhood book is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe because it was the first book that really made her think about more than just the words on the paper. The symbolism made her fall in love with reading and introduced her to a new genre she previously shied away from. We are so grateful to have Liz on our team!

Annie Weber

Annie Weber attended the College of Business, earning her Bachelor of Sports Management in May of 2018, and then attended Patton College of Education, earning her Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Sciences in August of 2019.

She has worked in childcare for one year and has coached youth sports for four years. To Annie, early childhood education is the start of a child’s development and the groundwork for their success in future years. She has a passion for ensuring the best enrichment and environment for families and children and is committed to being a lifelong learner in the field of early childhood education. She is very excited to join The Nest Schools – Shaker Heights as Co-Director and continue her journey as an early childhood education professional.

Annie was born in Morristown NJ and grew up right down the street in Mayfield Heights. Her mother’s family and father’s family were born and raised in Cleveland, and many were teachers throughout the Shaker Heights community. She has one older sister and two kittens!

A fun fact about Annie is that she has never had her ears pierced!

Annie’s favorite childhood book is Jackie & Me by Dan Gutman. She loved this book because she was able to connect with an incredible athlete as a child and understand the importance and impact that one athlete can make in history. We are so lucky to have Annie on our team (pun intended)!

Diamond Gonzalez

Diamond Gonzalez has been in early education for about seven years, and she is currently pursuing a CDA.

Diamond believes that this is the prime age where children grasp concepts easily and she loves seeing how excited children are when they finally understand or can do something by themselves. It’s a great field to watch children learn and grow!

She has been married for four years now to her wife, Alyssa. Together, they have a “crazy” husky named Jax and a “feisty” cat named PJ. They love to spend majority of their time with them.

A fun fact about Diamond is that she loves to travel with her wife, and they try to take two trips in the country a year with at least one trip being outside of the country. She enjoys photographing their travels so that I can scrapbook all of their beautiful memories together.

Diamond’s favorite childhood book is Rainbow Fish. She loved the concept of how reluctant he was to share his scales at first, but overtime wanted to share the scales with his friends. Being able to appreciate the small things and being grateful for what we have is super important to Diamond – a shared commonality between her and The Nest. It’s always been a classic since Diamond read it as a child and she now loves being able to read it to the classrooms and hear their opinions on it. We are so grateful for everything Diamond does here at The Nest!

Cora Bogdan

After earning her bachelor’s degree in Early Elementary Education, Cora started her career in Elementary in 2002 and found her passion early on for childcare as an infant teacher. From infants to school age children, Cora worked closely with almost every age group before becoming regional director in 2011. As regional director of the Cleveland area Nest Schools, Cora enjoys working with directors and teachers to help ensure that they provide the best care possible for every family they serve.

Cora lives in Cleveland with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and baking. Her favorite childhood book is The Little House on the Prairie because she read it to her children when they were growing up, and it is now a family favorite for her own daughters! We are thrilled to have Cora on our team!
