Meet Our Team

Elizabeth Burgess

Elizabeth (Liz) has been in early childhood education since 2013. Liz has a Childhood Development Associate Credential and is currently working on her bachelor’s in organizational leadership. Liz started out as a floater and has served in multiple teacher and administrative positions before joining The Nest Schools as a director. Liz became involved in the early childhood education field after having two children of her own because she wanted to learn more about what they did all day. Liz is passionate about making a difference in the lives of both children and their families and is also an advocate for Trauma Informed Care in the early childhood setting.

Liz stays very active with her two twin boys, and in her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her many siblings. She is also a football fanatic and a cheerleading coach! Liz’s favorite childhood book is The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe because it was the first book that really made her think about more than just the words on the paper. The symbolism made her fall in love with reading and introduced her to a new genre she previously shied away from.

Andrea is engaged and has a son who is an EMT and a daughter studying to be a trauma doctor in the ER. She also has a cat named Snow White and a dog named Diva. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys swimming and hiking. Andrea’s favorite childhood book is Velveteen Rabbit because she has always loved rabbits and wanted to have some to raise.

Cora Bogdan

Cora has been in early childhood education since 2002 and has bachelor’s degree in early elementary. Cora worked with almost every age group from infants to school age before becoming a regional director in 2011. Cora found a love for childcare when she first became an infant teacher many years ago. As the regional director of the Cleveland area Nest Schools, Cora enjoys working with directors and teachers to help ensure that they provide the best care possible for the families they serve.

Cora lives in Cleveland with her husband and two children and enjoys gardening, cooking, and baking in her free time. Her favorite childhood book is The Little House on the Prairie because she read it to her children when they were growing up, and it is now a favorite of her daughters.
