Barbara Taylor

Since 1987, Barbara has shown exemplary service in early childhood education. She has served in many roles throughout her career. Starting out as a cook, she then went on to become an infant teacher, then assistant director, and has been a director since 1996. When Barbara didn’t think she could have any more children of her own, she wanted to find a job working around them every day. She loves that being in childcare gives her the sense of having one large extended family!

Barbara has two daughters, four granddaughters, four great grandchildren, and three “rotten” dogs and loves spending time at the beach whenever she can. Barbara’s favorite childhood book is Green Eggs and Ham and Sam I Am because her father’s name was Sam. Barbara did not like reading much as a child, but now she loves curling up with a good book whenever she can. We love having Barbara on our team!

Jennifer Newsom

Since 1989, Jennifer Newsom has been making strides within the field of early childhood education. She earned her associate in both Early Childhood Education and Administration! Jennifer chose this career path because she has always loved children, and being around them has always made her smile. She loves each child’s unique personality and individuality. She also greatly enjoys watching them apply their newly mastered skills during exploration of the world around them.

Jennifer has been married for 13 years to her wonderful husband, Scott. Together they have a blended family of three children. Jennifer has a son, Austin (24), a stepdaughter Meagan (22), and another stepdaughter, Lindsay (21). As a family, they have four “fur babies”: Petey, Molly, Lily, and PJ. They are doxies and they are very stubborn!

In Jennifer’s spare time, she loves to cook and try new recipes. Amazon is her weakness and she loves to shop and order all kinds of neat things!

Jennifer has always loved to read Harold and the Purple Crayon to her classes, despite not being the biggest reader as a child herself. She now loves encouraging children to use their imaginations while reading. We love having Jennifer on our team!

Krista Lewis

Krista has been in the early childhood education field since 1996 and has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family studies. She has served in many roles throughout her career, from serving as a floater, teacher, cook, lead teacher, assistant director, director, and now regional director. She can do it all! Krista has always had a special place in her heart for children, and she loves being able to make a difference in children’s lives every day.

Krista lives with her husband, son, daughter, and their dog in Thomasville. Krista’s biggest fear has always been flying, but she recently overcame that fear on a trip to Chicago and will fly again with less anxiety! Her favorite childhood book is The Baby-Sitters Club because she likes that it is about friends that will accept each other no matter what. We love having Krista on our team!
