Meet Our Team

Jennifer Newsom

Since 1989, Jennifer Newsom has been making strides within the field of early childhood education. She earned her associate in both Early Childhood Education and Administration! Jennifer chose this career path because she has always loved children, and being around them has always made her smile. She loves each child’s unique personality and individuality. She also greatly enjoys watching them apply their newly mastered skills during exploration of the world around them.

Jennifer has been married for 13 years to her wonderful husband, Scott. Together they have a blended family of three children. Jennifer has a son, Austin (24), a stepdaughter Meagan (22), and another stepdaughter, Lindsay (21). As a family, they have four “fur babies”: Petey, Molly, Lily, and PJ. They are doxies and they are very stubborn!

In Jennifer’s spare time, she loves to cook and try new recipes. Amazon is her weakness and she loves to shop and order all kinds of neat things!

Jennifer has always loved to read Harold and the Purple Crayon to her classes, despite not being the biggest reader as a child herself. She now loves encouraging children to use their imaginations while reading. We love having Jennifer on our team!

Ashley Joyce

Ashley has been with The Nest Schools since July 2021 on a traveling team, where she visited and helped out at our Nest schools across NC, Ohio, Florida, and Texas. Prior to that, she was employed with another childcare company for 18 years, with experience teaching all ages and 7 years of administrative experience. Now, she is an administrator at our High Point – Northgate location. Ashley loves building lasting relationships with children and families! She also loves to get hugs from all of the children!

Ashley has been married to her husband, Wes, since 2004, and they have 2 children, Melody and Keaton. Wes also works for The Nest in our Family Resource Center! Ashley and Wes are HUGE NC State fans, since they both attended and graduated from there! GO WOLFPACK! Ashley has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication and Early Childhood and Administrator Credentials in NC.

In Ashley’s free time, she enjoys reading Nora Roberts books, taking naps, playing games on her phone, and spending time with her family. She feels blessed to be a part of the administrative team at the High Point – Northgate location and a part of The Nest Schools!

Corinne Brylski

Corinne has been in the early childhood education field since August of 1998 and holds her bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She has experience leading as a Lead Teacher, Pre-K Lead Assistant Director, Director, and now Regional Director. She also is a NC state Registered SIDS Trainer!

In her spare time, Corinne enjoys time with her daughter, Skyla, family, and dog, Mr. Biscuit. You can often find them watching movies together!
